docx2txt software package provides Convert Microsoft OOXML files to plain text, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install docx2txt
docx2txt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the docx2txt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep docx2txt *
You will get with docx2txt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
